Welcome!
The ANZLAA Annual Conference is well-established as the premier continuing education
event for all those involved in the care of laboratory animals in Australia and
New Zealand.
Interest from international speakers has been high yet again, and we have been fortunate
to secure four of the most exciting and knowledgeable world leaders in the laboratory
animal science and welfare field to present the latest updates on their areas of
expertise. More details can be found on the Program
page.
As always, the popular “tech talks” will feature prominently again, and we strongly
encourage participation by those willing to share their ideas in a friendly and
supportive atmosphere. Members’ presentations and posters will round off the program.
Submission of abstracts is warmly welcomed.
This year will also feature hands-on workshops on cryopreservation of mouse reproductive
tissues, and good necropsy and sample-collection techniques. We will also be joined
by a number of high profile local speakers to give insights into the rapidly growing
area of epigenetics, and into new models for the development of malarial vaccines.
Comprehensive displays of the latest animal care equipment and services, along with
the opportunity to speak with experts about them, will be a major feature and will
undoubtedly be a highlight.
Participation in continuing education is, of course, essential for ongoing progress
in animal care and this Annual Conference is easily the largest such event in our
region. With an exciting learning environment and a welcoming social program assured,
you will quickly find yourself welcomed to (or welcomed back to) ANZLAA’s unique
and friendly network. Please register your details below to find out more. We look
forward to sharing this outstanding event with you.
